A quality assurance supervisor surnamed Zhou successfully challenged his dismissal after his 25,000 yuan ($3,640) monthly role was automated. The tech firm offered a demotion to 15,000 yuan ($2,185) before terminating him under 'restructuring' pretenses.
Courts ordered 311,695 yuan ($45,405) in severance, establishing precedent against algorithmic replacement without cause. The decision comes as LLMs disrupt white-collar workflows across industries.
